Good morning 🙂 Hi Diane 🙂 Hi Karl 🙂 Hi Dianne 🙂 Cory is having the chatroom issues looked into today. Today I will be cleaning the house. This week the neighbors are having new carpet installed through out their house. Lots of nice big changes happening this week on our road. 😀 Hi and good morning to all you who read and didn't post here lately! 😀

Thanks Dianne, I agree, all the work I did to improve my living situation, did make work more fun, think I feel less shame, so just feel happier. Today I was outside all day, raked and burned some leaves. Scraped the length of the garage roof edge, that has looked like crap for years, painted it, it looks so much better. My neighbor who lives above me, came out and appreciated the new look. Chopped kindling, raked leaves in back yard as well as front. Not sure what else I did, but worked alllll day, now have to deal with the dishes etc in here, no fun for me. hope all had good weekends

My To-Do for today is to run all sorts of programs on my computer to try to get a handle on the chatroom problem. Hope to see you all in chat tonight! 😀

Ah Tillie, didn't you just love observing how smart he was to work those rope knots loose and then to thwart your newest actions with the wire? Lucky for us they don't know that a good swift kick to the head, or using their teeth to rip our throats out, or using their impressive strength to overwhelm us would give them the upper hand. What's happening with the wildlife in your area? Are the quails still around? I love birds but know nothing about them. Diane, so glad you've had an enjoyable time working! All your efforts this year made that time out of the house something to enrich your life further. And your insights about buying things to deal with the mixed feelings of outside work are more proof of your progress. Karl! hahahahahaa!!! I love stories from when we were kids! Especially the naughty, funny ones! Give us details! I have the most fun around kids. When the parent gets home I whisper, "Grownups! Now I have to stop being silly!" Children are magical and I love entering their world. I was sitting right at 3rd base and I had so much fun with each kid who stopped there. "You've got an arm like a cannon!....Great hit!....Quick steal home!" Didn't matter which team it was. Cute faces, little ears sticking out like an elf's under the baseball cap, the fun of one getting caught up in the action and doubling up on bases before running back. They are just great! Today is boring work, blah.

The smart horse stories reminded me of how my brother and I, as toddlers, could escape from the playpen by working together.

Hello everyone, so happy the tree is going away tillie. that is tough to be around a screamer, I used to be one, happy I don't yell anymore, it felt so out of control to yell, sorry you have to be at the same with a screamer.

We all need fun time. | |

Dianne, I had a horse that lived right next to me that could open the latches and would hold the gate for all the other horses to get out.

You know how sometimes with a hoard you feel like you can't do anything fun without some level of guilt? Like I really should be working on that? I feel like I've done so much work lately and had to wade thru so many feelings that I deserved some time being what I call a *normal* person. So I started the day by going to my 6 yr old grandson's baseball game. First I thought baseball was only in the spring/summer. Then I thought he was in the group that has all handicapped kids from all ages like he has done in the past. Well it turns out Jakey was in real Little League and my son-in-law is one of the coaches! I don't know why I didn't know that! Jakey's operation on his spine was so successful that not only is he out of a wheelchair and braces he can truck around those bases with the best of them. We toss the ball a lot out back and he's been wanting me to see him play but I was always *busy cleaning the house*. Wow it was great! A mom came up to me and said, "You're Buffy's mom right? I remember you from being backstage always sewing costumes." What a small world. So now I'm home ready to do the daily chores. Instead of being tired like I thought I feel invigorated and ready to work. Mostly today will be animal chores, cleaning, grooming, trimming nails (we all HATE that!) and a dump run. I'd like to get 2 bathrooms done too.

Yeah MayMay, they're just big babies aren't they? Gotta be with the Momma. haha When Dakota could see he learned how to open doors and turn on faucets. Jackson can work his teeth and jaw to open crates and runs from the inside. Only a real lock can keep him in. The K9's I used to take care of at the kennelemergency vet were like smart children. They could get out of runs, rooms and into the hospital. For fun we'd say "Find it!" and they'd tear around sniffing out the drugs. They knew it was a game with us. When their working collars were on and their human cop partners were with them it was business time. I had a horse once who could undo her stall latch. Then she'd go to the other stalls and release the other horses. Such a rascal. Those kinds of animals need a lot of physical exercise and mental stimulation. Wow I could go on forever about intensely smart animals! I love the challenge!

Hey Dianne, | |

Tillie, your husband sounds a lot like one of my brothers before he passed away. He raged at others and people never argued back; they feared him because he could get physically violent. You're smart to lay low during those times. How wonderful that he came out and apologized!!! And getting the old tree out will be a huge step forward. Could be he is approaching that point of change. 🙂

Good morning everybody 🙂 Looks like it is going to be another lovely Fall day here in northern Nevada. Hi Diane 🙂 Hi MayMay 🙂 Hi Roxie 🙂 Hi Dianne 🙂 Hi to Karl and Diane and everybody else too. 😀 I've been just laying low here. Anyways, the tree guy just called me and said he will be here about 8:00am Wednesday morning to get that tree down for me. 😀 My To-Dos for today... Hope you all have a GREAT Friday. 🙂

I know MayMay even I thought wow that's crazy! I call mine the Oafie Boys because since they've been babies they just go bumbling and crashing thru everything. I'm sure yours do too. Just roughhousing and being their big, goofy selves. Can you imagine 11 doing that?! And the physical effort too. Mine have had some nasty fights when the roughhousing gets out of hand. Just like regular human boys you know when it's escalating. I've had to pull one off the other and literally wrestle and hold Dakota down. It ain't easy. You know with 11 there are going to be some pack fights trying to get a higher position. The females can be just as tough. And if each one weighs about 100 pounds that's 1100 pounds of dogs!!!! Hauling the food alone would throw my back out for days.

Hi Dianne, | |
| Dianne | Posted: 17 October 2013 - 12:12 PM |
The electrician came today and did a lot of repairs. He saw some of my worst rooms. He didn't seem shocked. He talked about German Shepherds as he has 11. I know the amount of fur my two shed so I can imagine he is no stranger to a furry house. He didn't even sneeze. He got 90% of the work done. There's one room that I need to make some paths in so he can get to those outlets so that will be another day. Still waiting on call about status of mattresses and washer repair.

Did my usual meds and teeth. Put away clean dishes and did another sinkful. Emptied kitchen garbage and took it out. Swept almost all of the kitchen floor (in short bursts). Don't know if I'll get to mopping it. Oh well. Still need to do one load of laundry, make the bed with clean sheets, pack suitcase and oversized purse for tomorrow. Yeesh. Still have to go online and pay some bills before I leave. Just want to nap. !)

Hi, all. Well, I am playing on the computer ("studying") and here it is the day before I leave for the reunion. Sometimes I am such a procrastinator. Yesterday, I did get things put away from the grocery trip and clean dishes from the sink. I also brought the garbage bin up from the street and picked up the mail. I found this charity I think is very cool. It was started by a boy for his bar mitzvah (I'm not sure what this is, maybe they have to do a project for it?). He is still only 15 and his story is inspiring. At age 5 his mom took him to a homeless shelter and his impression of kids without shoes, or having to share shoes, spurred in him a desire to do something about it. Now he has a charity he set up called Gotta Have Sole (dot org) which provides shoes to homeless kids. He's delivered thousands now. I went ahead and donated and got a personal note from him. 😀 I did finally plug in my camera and uploaded pictures to my computer, then sent in a submission for the next newspaper "Adopt-a-Pet" thingee. That is a weight off my mind. Must run today to get a supply of cat food in for my cat sitters, and do some laundry, and pack. Sweep kitchen and living room, mop kitchen, round up clean litter boxes and put them out. I'm tired just typing it. hehe Hugs

Hey Roxie! Sometimes just getting by and going is the right way to do it. Not so encumbered and getting to that different locale will feel so good. I think your wake/sleep cycle will adjust very well once you head out that first morning. You'll be tired enough to sleep the first night and then your plans will keep you going. That always happens to my daughter when she goes to the beach with her dad for a week. Around here she sleeps a good portion of the day and is up most of the night. But once she has that routine of beach time she's up in the mornings and has no trouble at all falling asleep at a normal time of night. It' will be a great time with people you have wonderful memories with. Go, forget everything at home and enjoy!!

Hi, everyone. I've gotten my usual done today and started putting away a sink of dishes I did yesterday. I was shocked to realize that it is THIS Thursday that I go on my trip to Albuquerque for a school reunion. I am not at all ready. Not at all! And I'm dragging my feet on doing anything productive to get ready. Well, I'll do probably just enough to "get by" and then just go. I'm fearful of what traveling will be now though since I have so much trouble just waking up and getting moving. We'll see. I'm inclined to blow it off but that would be a lot of money down the tubes. Hugs
