Good morning everybody ๐Ÿ™‚

Great to read your posts on phase five! ๐Ÿ˜€
Been run ragged here and ended up quite ill.
Taking care of myself and ALL the cats & kittens though.
Need more supplies like cat food and kitty litter.
Need HELP! ;D
But the kittens are so sweet and adorable I just could not leave them outside when the temperatures are down in the 20s and the hawks, owls, coyotes & foxes are hungry too.

WAY TO GO!!! Everybody on every accomplishment, especially the little ones that really do add up and help make your homes the sanctuary of your dreams.
(((HUGS)))

Glad you got to store and safely back. I bet it's hard to give up the kitties. I'll still keep my fingers crossed for them because I bet there are more rescues in your future!

I wrapped a few gifts tonight. Now I'm going to shower and get back to bed. Heading out with brother tomorrow. I pray for peace. I'm a little nervous because we are supposed to be having snow and I don't like driving in it. But I want to see my brother.

Goodnight everyone. Thank you for the kind words, Tillie. My house is driving me nuts.

Hi Tatoulia ๐Ÿ™‚
Hoping you are starting to feel much better (((HUGS)))
Happy you are spoiling the Kitty. ;D
YEA!!! for finding the new faucet!!!
WAY TO GO! for having more donations ready to go but especially for taking good care of yourself.

The weather cooperated for my trip to the grocery store.
Been snowing off & on since last night.
Tomorrow I need to take the kittens to town before 9:00am to be in the pet adoption pageant event.
Then back to pick them up at 2:00pm unless they are all adopted out.
Unfortunately, I always fall in love with any animals that I mother and it is emotionally hard when I have to let them go.

Hi Tillie! Hope you made it to the store and back safely. I am working from home today--our temperature is in the single digits and even though my house is drafty and cold, I'd rather be here than spreading the germs all over office.

I did manage to get recycling and garbage out. I have to wrap gifts to free up some space. I don't even buy very much but it still makes a pile. I warmed kitty's blanket in the dryer (it was washed yesterday so pretty clean) and now she's all snuggled inside it.

I've been sleeping, sleeping, sleeping and it's been very helpful. Nothing fights off a bug like plenty of liquids and plenty of sleep. I'm grateful I've felt well enough to work from home two days and only needed to take one day off.

I have another bag of donations ready. I need to plow through. OH! Faucet is at BF's--I asked him if he had it and he does. I will have plumber here next week, depending on which days I go into office and which days I stay put.

Good Morning ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi CriticalMass ๐Ÿ™‚
Best of luck reclaiming the bed for you and your kitty!
Doing a room/area one little section at a time is a great way to keep things from becoming too jumbled and complicated. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Tatoulia ๐Ÿ™‚
Feel better real soon (((HUGS)))
That pesky new faucet will turn up in time
"fingers crossed".

Big storm blowing in today but looks like this morning will be a good time to get to the grocery store.
Sort of the calm before the storm.
Next several days will have rain, snow, ice, sleet, fog and temps close to 0.
Glad I have so many warm fuzzy kitties to cuddle with. ;P

Hello everyone! Good to hear from you CM!

I was sick all day/stayed in bed. Feeling better. Have eaten and am now changing sheets. Will shower and go to bed and then if still feeling better, I'll work from home tomorrow. I'll air out bedroom while I'm showering.

Good to hear from everyone. I'm disgusted with myself but trying to ignore that for now. Tillie I can't even find where input the new faucets. Isn't that ridiculous? I thought I took out of car trunk.

Well I will finish up bed now and climb back in. I didn't want to waste the sick day but I really had no choice. Terrible sore throat/gland thing.

Keep up the good work, everyone. Proud of Twinkles for being so good with the babycats.

Hi, time to make my first post on this Phase 6 thread!

Hope all are well - Tillie, sounds like you're doing right by the kitties. ๐Ÿ™‚

We are having bouts of colder weather here and I can tell by how much time the grey cat wants to sleep with me at night. The colder it is, the longer he sticks around! He has turned into quite the nice snuggly boy from a feral kitten and then a wild teenage cat.

I haven't gotten any big things accomplished or even very many little ones, but I'm kind of deliberately coasting until after the holidays. I do a little here and there. Mainly I just want to isolate a small area and deal with it. Like my bed - before I went into the hospital I'd cleared it off, mostly, and it was a nice place to rest. Then it began to become a paper and book magnet. I don't know what law of physics makes that happen, but I wish someone would repeal it!

So if I could get the bed back to being a nice place, that would be one accomplishment, and I'd sleep better. And it'd make sharing the bed with kitty easier too! Then after that, I see areas in the bedroom where things have been stacked wonky - so if I could align those things and condense it would help. Again, lots of little goals.

It was hard when I moved in - very rushed - and for several months afterward I kept thinking I'd go back and redo the whole room as a single entity. I don't think that's going to happen - it's going to have to be more piecemeal. But I think I have figured out how to make that work in my favor instead of being a problem.

Hi Anonymoniker ๐Ÿ™‚
Good Luck with the taxes! ;D
Hope things work out with the visiting cat.
WAY TO GO! for all you have been doing! ๐Ÿ˜€

Wanted to do something more physical today.
Been too sedentary since the kittens showed up.
So...
today I did my end of the year December challenge and even more.
Had a nice bucket of Murphy's oil soap & warm water.
Wiped down the walls and ceiling & cupboards & ceiling light in the teeny tiny kitchen area.
Then washed up all the doo-dads like display items & wall hangings in there.
Washed the outside of the fridge.
Washed the ceiling fan in the living room area.
Wiped off a lot of other random stuff too.
Also applied Autumn grass fertilizer on the lawn, helps it develop strong roots over the Winter.
Vacuumed the carpet & washed kitchen floor.
Periodically I took breaks and played with the felines.
Scooter is terrified of the kittens. LOL ๐Ÿ˜›
Tomorrow I need to go to the store and buy more kitty litter and some fresh produce.

TTYL ;D

YEA,Tillie!!! It sounds like youre getting different kinds of things done? That can be very good, especially when it shifts you into a new mode. I may have a new female cat here. This one is black, so it could be a girl. It has been on the edge of the area yowling. My other cats just watch it but havent chased it...at least that theyve let me see! I just hope it is not pregnant, looking for a home...if it is, i will make sure to tame the kittens early on...ive found that is very helpful in adoption..except that as barn cats theyll be allowed outside, through one agency, whereas all of our other cat adoption outlets make you swear you wont let them go outside, which seems absurd in such a rural area.
Yesterday i got so much done. Not to sound like one of those corny-in-love-females, but watching my boyfriend do things is very helpful & inspiring. He is very functional. I tried asking myself how hed handle stuff yesterday & it was much easier than i expected! I just did what made sense, rather than overthinking it. Instead of not doing the laundry that is kept in the drawer where the skunk is living, i just neatly stacked it along the wall! I re-carpeted a niporium(catnip area), did dishes, prepared lots of food, exercised, took a walk...i just kept moving all day! It was nice! Right now im preparing my property taxes to mail instead of seeing it & dreading it!
~โ™ก~Happy Home improving to all!~โ™ก~

Good Morning ๐Ÿ™‚

Woke up this morning thinking that yesterday was another complete waste but then thought about some things that I did that were long put off due to unexpected circumstances.
So even though nothing major was accomplished I did get some things done! ๐Ÿ˜€
Fed all the cats canned food breakfast today.
Twinkles only ate a little but he allowed the kittens to have his food and sat there happily watching them eat it.
He is such a gentle giant.
He also allows the kittens to play with his tail and snuggle up and nap with him.
Drinking my tea and thinking about what else I will do today.
Been watching "how to" videos on youtube for making rag rugs.
Have the fabric, need to cut it to size and also buy a large yarn crochet hook.
Or maybe I will decide to use the other more difficult method called "braid in" rag rug.
But I already know how to crochet so maybe I will just start with that method. ???
Decisions, decisions! ;/

Good Morning Everybody ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Tatoulia ๐Ÿ™‚
OK, so you aren't getting as much done as you think you should be doing.
But, WAY TO GO! for all those little things you ARE keeping up with! (((HUGS)))
This time of year gets hectic with so many activities and the change of seasons takes time to adjust to also.
When that plumber gets finished at your house send him over here to install the new bath tub faucet that has been sitting ignored on my back porch these last several months. ;D

Hi Anonymoniker ๐Ÿ™‚
There was once a time in my life when I also used to heat water in the coffee maker to brush my teeth. ๐Ÿ˜€
Great thinking about making a priority list.
Wishing you all the best tackling it. (((hugs)))

Well, yesterday was difficult for me.
I have high anxiety about being around people but allowing a "stranger" into MY home is the absolute worst for me.
So I was stressed to my limit by the time she arrived but she is a lovely lady who holds the same values as I do concerning animal welfare and stupid humans.
As I handed each kitten in turn over to her I finally took a good look and discovered all of them are girls.
She gave them their shots and deworming medication.
She is searching all her resources now for spaying and getting them seen at adoption venues.
The kittens did very well with the shots. They all laid down quietly and napped for the rest of the afternoon.
I took a nap too.
When they got up they displayed no adverse effects. ๐Ÿ˜€
Maybe today I will get something done around here other than juggling cats & kittens. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hi, everybody!
Tatoulia, i cracked up at your image of seating at a wedding with all the parents divorced & remarried!!! ha ha ha And yes, the internet is like a black-time-hole! Now that ive cut back, i get more done, my vision is way better, and im not as upset over political stuff.
Tillie, you are so amazing! That is great youre careful about giving the kittens to anyone without thorough investigation! I hope they will work out to be helpful for the kitties?!
My cat that was being bullied now seems to be bullying the others. She may just be naturally regaining her ground, so i dont want to interfere...at least not yet!
My boyfriend is being so aware & good about me getting alone time, but im really preferring to get my place improved, even if that means him being here helping, especially after spending more time in his adorable, clean, quaint & cozy house!
Ive been heating water to brush my teeth in the coffee maker, which is quite easy and luxurious compared to ice cold water like the last few winters! Ive got the next 3 days to make a difference here on my own....hmmmm....im gonna sit in the sun & make a priority list while doing laundry...
~โ™ก~Happy projects to you all!~โ™ก~

Working from home today. Need to get the garbage out tonight. I always miss it Tuesday AMs, which leaves me with the garbage sitting around til Friday.

I am shredding papers and doing laundry. I need to pull it together here. I think maybe wrapping gifts tonightvwill cut down on the clutter. I am not doing a good job keeping up at all. I just sleep instead. Or worse, fool around with the Internet. Colossal waste of time.

I bought new faucet for bathroom sink. Plumber is coming a week from today.

Hey Tillie--all the cat information fascinates me no end! It's like seating a wedding where all the parents have divorced and remarried. Very interesting.

I had gingerbread house making again today. Totally different style of house today. Great fun.

When I first got up I took two bags to goodwill. That felt very satisfying. Now I'm running the dishwasher and relaxing.

Talk to you later!

Good Morning Everyone ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Anonymoniker ๐Ÿ™‚
I sure do understand how frustrating and futile it can be trying to repair or upgrade in a home with old worn out plumbing and electric.
Hoping you figure out a "small home" solution soon.
Thank you for your generous offer of help sponsoring the kittens.
(((HUGS)))
Financially I've got that covered, really only about 20 dollars buys a LOT of kitten chow and kitty litter. ;D

Hi Tatoulia ๐Ÿ™‚
Making gingerbread houses sound like sooooo much fun! ๐Ÿ˜€
Times like that are more important than just about anything else you think you should be doing.
(((HUGS)))

To keep peace in the house I must keep the cats segregated.
Scooter would eat the kittens, my girl cat would start marking HER territory, my big orange boy would get mean and nasty to me if I allowed the kittens to free range here.
So kittens & Twinkles are kept in the hoarded bedroom with Marty in there sometimes.
I need to keep Marty safe from Scooter who chews on him relentlessly at times.
This arrangement is working very well except when you toss in the man who's bedroom that is.
I asked him to at least gather up all the garbage & dirty laundry in there but he refuses.
His bedroom stank to high heaven before I added the kittens so now he is blaming the stench on the babies.
They all use the litter box faithfully and I scoop it out at least 4 times every day.
He is also complaining about all the toys & balls I gave them to play with, mainly because they like to play at night at times.
All the kittens adore me but one in particular has become quite attached to me and he is now trying to pressure me to keep her.
He would be a cat hoarder if I did not put my foot down and forbid any more cats after he decided to keep Marty & Twinkles as forever cats here.
He never feeds cats or cleans litter boxes or notices when someone needs to see a doctor or gives them their medicine.
I own two cats. My big orange tabby boy and blue eyed albino girl, all the others are his cats.
He has brought home dozens of feral and abandoned cats/kittens over the years and I have managed to rehome all of them. ๐Ÿ˜€
Woman from cat organization has had to reschedule and will be here tomorrow instead of today.

You are so resourceful Tillie! Glad someone can come out to treat the kitties. Tell me, how is everyone getting along?

Going to climb into my clean sheets now. All I got done today. In house. Was making gingerbread houses with friend today and guess what, doing some more again tomorrow. With other friends.

Anony I'm sorry about your water issues. But I'm super glad to hear from you!

Good Morning Everybody ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Tatoulia ๐Ÿ™‚
Thank you (((HUGS)))

Hi Anonymoniker ๐Ÿ™‚
Try to embrace the "change".
Changes shake things up and help to make you think outside of the box.

Tomorrow a woman from a cat organization is supposed to come by here.
The plan is, she will give the kittens inoculations, de-worm them, weigh them and come collect them later this month for transport to the big city for some kind of pet adoption fair.
Her organization also provides very low prices for neutering & spaying.
We will see how it goes after I further grill/interrogate her as to their policies.
I am very strict when it comes to handing over any animals to people I do not know.

YEA!!! Thank you, Tillie for the new thread! My phone may be capable of doing it, but i have no clue how?!
It is an interesting shift having input & help with things on my place, through my boyfiend & our new trade. He has a really good sense of simple, creative solutions. Certain things i really react to tho, like moving or starting any new piles of anything yucky or junky, like my trash cans being moved away from the house?! For some reason, i dont know how much better id like it to see them on my jogging path towards the well?! Itd be like another pile in my natural environment?!! I think another, better option is to just improve the current trash area, maybe with some new cans? Maybe a small dumpster that is painted pretty??? Maybe thats silly? I like that its all pushing stuckness looser, tho?!
Trying to fix the broken pipes that froze from my recent indoor water addition proved futile. This trailer is a huge challenge to repair. New stuff is installed or connected to old, weak, wornout stuff. I just want to focus on a new little house
We looked at sheds to convert again, now that the log cabin people said my legal limit size is too small for them to mess with putting together. Itd be cheaper, too...plus, it could be decorated with my own mesquite wood!
Tillie, if you need a donation for kitty food or anything, ill happily help? For now, you & kitties are on my prayer list? You are a true saint!
Keep up the great progress, everyone?! ~โ˜†โ™กโ˜†~

Tillie my dear heart, take good care of yourself. I hope you have soup and other good things to eat! Those little kitties are lucky to have you. We are all lucky to have you!

Thanks for getting Phase Six going! I hated to ask you to do one more thing!
