Good morning everybody 🙂

Great to read your posts on phase five! 😀
Been run ragged here and ended up quite ill.
Taking care of myself and ALL the cats & kittens though.
Need more supplies like cat food and kitty litter.
Need HELP! ;D
But the kittens are so sweet and adorable I just could not leave them outside when the temperatures are down in the 20s and the hawks, owls, coyotes & foxes are hungry too.

WAY TO GO!!! Everybody on every accomplishment, especially the little ones that really do add up and help make your homes the sanctuary of your dreams.

Hi Pain 🙂
Wonderful to see you here! 😀
Being able to post here and meet these lovely people has really helped to keep me sane.

I understand how those hollow apologies fall flat when they don't even try to make things right.
(((HUGS)))

WAY TO GO! for doing such a great job cleaning the kitchen! 🙂

We have to choose our battles.
We have to do what is best for us and fighting all the time is very bad for our health, physical and mental.
Somethings we just must let go.
I prioritize and only fight over the number one issue, letting all the other things go for now.

Hi Tatoulia 🙂
That's fantastic that your sister got the same wonderful offer.
My neighbor friend used to work for the power company and had he known this he would have told me years ago.
He knew how I struggle with getting trees down, it's expensive.
But his work was as a mechanic keeping the vehicles running.

Pain and I have been talking on the "Clean Up Help" message board.
We have a lot in common. ;/

Tomorrow morning I need to go into town to return a cat carrier I borrowed when I had three kittens and only owned two cat carriers.
May as well do some shopping while I'm in town.
The veterinarian wanted all kittens in separate carriers even though all three fit easily into one.
They liked being all together and never cried when I had them together.
A soft, warm kitten pile. 🙂

That's great news, Tillie. My sister lives in a rural area in another state and she has the same experience last summer and she got rid of perilous trees and had tons of wood to stack for her wood stove!

Pain, welcome. I don't know if you've been on here before but a giant welcome!

Took everything off kitchen counters .
Bleached the counters.
Cleaned everything I put back on the counters.
Woke up to the smell of good food in kitchen.
Walked in on a milk mess from hell.

Believe it or not . Just knowing I could post here kept me from blowing my top.

I'd be more accepting of their apologies if they would just help.

Hi 🙂

Hi CriticalMass 🙂
WAY TO GO!!! For bunny maintenance! 😀
So, How was that meeting?
Hope it was good and motivating.

Hi Tatoulia 🙂
Hope your day was not too busy or stressful.
🙂

Very cold and wet and dark day but a fun day to play around inside. 😉
Man from the power company came by to let me know that soon they will be trimming the tops off our trees under the power lines again.
He told me something that nobody ever told me before.
The power company will, at no charge to me, cut down the trees and treat the stumps to prevent them from growing back.
Chip up small branches and cut the larger wood into 18 inch lengths and neatly stack the wood where ever I want it.
I said "where do I sign!"
I filled out the authorization papers.
These five trees have needed to be cut down for many years, they are old, dangerous and drop branches all the time.
YIPPEE!!!!!! HAPPY DANCE!!!!! 😀

My friend should be by to pick me up for the clutter club meeting in about an hour. Meanwhile, I must do a little boast that I got the bunny litter boxes and cages dealt with awhile ago. I don't think my girl bunny approved of my getting rid of all the hay and dirt and fur of her "nest" but she can make a new one - and she will! She will also go in and mess up the boy bunny's cage during playtime. She takes after her "mother," LOL!

Good Morning Everyone 🙂

Hi CriticalMass 🙂
Thanks for the drive by! 😀
Hope your meeting is rewarding and you gain a lot from it.
Fingers crossed that your vehicle is fixed in the next day or two. (((hugs)))

Hi Anonymoniker 🙂
Please check in, we miss you.

Hi Tatoulia 🙂
Sorry about the stressful days and poor sleep.
Take naps when you can, be kind to yourself. (((HUG)))
Just checked and you have posted as I wrote this post! 😀

Weather forecast changed last evening and today we are having rain/snow.
Weather changes quickly as it comes over the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
That's what happened to the Donner party. ;P
Nothing very pressing that needs to be done except cat maintenance.
Planning on giving myself a nice little pedicure today.
Maybe work on a craft?
I dunno :/ ?
Good day to bake cookies but I still have cookies.

Hope you all have a great day! 😀

Good to hear from you CM! I said a little prayer for your car repairs.

Boy I waste too much time at night on the internet. I need to cut it down and spend the time doing things I enjoy more.

Cold & rainy here. I like it. But then I'd like a nice day tomorrow.

Full day with work, dinner plans and then a lecture tonight.

You asked for it, you got it - a quick drive by.

Anony, I don't know if you've ever read any decluttering books by Don Aslett, he was one of the early pioneers in the field so to speak. He has a section where he mentions "clutter on the hoof," meaning dysfunctional people who you need to let go on out of your life. I can't tell you what to do but I suspect ex-bf is possible clutter on the hoof. Anyway, do take care of yourself and keep building your own identity and come at the question of whether to "keep or toss" him from a position of strength, OK? 😉

Well, tomorrow I'm going back to my clutter club meeting for the first time since last summer, along with a buddy who also has been away from it. We'd gotten kind of bored with it for awhile, but we decided we want to go again, and I think I'll enjoy seeing if anything new has come along. Wouldn't it be something if there's a new community program to help hoarders like me who are motivated but need money and personnel? Well, that may be dreaming big, but anyway, I think just going to the club meeting will be motivating, so I'll be sure and tell you how it went. 🙂

Oh, and, say a prayer about my vehicle repairs - I'm going to call Mr. Mechanic tomorrow and see if maybe it can be done this week - it would sure be a relief if it could.

Tillie--what a nice story story about the diaries. You did the right thing to protect her privacy. I bet they were fascinating.

I'm glad you can get some laundry hung and dried. I worked all day at office/bit of a stressful day. It's raining and cold, which is actually weather I enjoy (in moderation) and I'm glad to be home.

I will do laundry and other things tomorrow. Have hectic days and nights coming up. I'm not sleeping well/I never do/but it's different these days. Not necessarily better or worse.

Anony & CM--would love even a quick drive-by!

Good Morning Everyone 🙂

Hi Tatoulia 🙂
Thank you for acknowledging my suffering too. lol 😉
Wonderful that you have good water pressure even if you don't like the style of faucet.
WAY TO GO! on shredding diaries! 😀

Little story about my Granma's diaries that I inherited.
Way back in the old days before unions were established in Detroit, Granma started to write down what she did daily in her diary.
Granma & Granpa were a young couple who were best friends with the Hoffas.
My Grandfather did a lot to get Detroit unionized.
Anyways, I read through all Granma's diaries and then burned them all.
I could have made a fortune had I turned them into a book but what was written there is nobodies business but my Granma's. 😉

Today I plan to clean the bathroom, wash the floors, wipe down stuff, dust & vacuum, etc.
After 9am now so I best be getting started.

TTFN 🙂

Poor little scooter!! Poor little guy. (Poor Tillie who has to administer the medicine).

Tillie I'm glad the fabric is readied for rug-making. I'm so envious of your talents!

Cleaned sink, vanity and toilet. Have not yet done floor or tub. The soap dish/fish will go in there soon. I hate my new faucets but great water pressure from sink and I will eventually find better faucets. At $100, though, I'll need to get some time in with them. I couldn't find what I wanted and so I went with the least offensive/most likely to match other bathroom fixtures.

Shredded another eight to ten diaries. My head spins from skimming them.

Thank you so much for believing in me and encouraging me. I'm very excited these days.

Hi Everybody 🙂

Hi Anonymoniker 🙂
(((HUG)))

Hi Tatoulia 🙂
I noticed a while back that we do tend to post our morning posts about the same time ;D
Doing the "HAPPY DANCE" for your bathroom sink!
You are doing GREAT with your 30% plan!
Seems like a good way to get it done without you feeling too overwhelmed with the doing.
I really like your typo of soap fish instead of soap dish.
Made me chuckle. 😉

Today I sewed the strips of fabric into one continuous strip of each fabric.
Now when I get the urge to start making the rug, the fabric will be all ready.
Scooter went back to the veterinarian today for a check up to see how his medicine is doing.
His eyes have been so much better, not sore looking or tearing up so much.
Evil veterinarian said for me to keep torturing him for another week with the eye drops and vitamin supplement and then he goes back for another check up.
He really hates the sticky vitamin goop, fought hard to keep me from squirting it into his mouth.
So I rub it into his fur and he has to lick it off.
The flavor is maple syrup, stupid flavor choice for cats.
Should taste like lizards or grass hoppers. ;P

Hey there --sink all fixed! I need to clean bathroom now before putting soap fish, toothpaste etc back in there.

Took out all recycling and garbage. I think I'll just shred tonight--that will be my "one bag" for the day.

Anony, always here. You are special and wonderful and bring a lot to my days. It seems impossible now, but you will get through it.

I'm glad to hear from you--I keep checking in to see how you are. I don't know where you live, but you need to know that your friendship and kind and loving spirit are felt in the northeast. And that's something nice you can repeat to yourself.

Plumber has come & gone! I'm
Running a load of laundry justvto make sure there are no leaks or other problems. So far so good!

I shredded two volumes of diaries while he was here and I've decided not to read them anymore. Just want to shred them. Need the shelf space!

Plumber coming now. More later.

Anony--we are here to get through your grief. It's ok, we are here. And your house is important. Anony, this is a guy who loves bouncing between the ladies--you, then back to ex, then back to you (who at that point was the ex) and now to someone else. I think this is what he does. He just ping pongs around.

You are so much more important than him and his version of love. You just are. We will help you get through this. This is his pattern, not yours. You are not defined by him.

Having skimmed some of my old diaries as I shred them, let me tell you, I had forgotten how I once let someone treat me that way--several months of just controlling my emotions and it hurt. But there was clarity to be had.

you are much too wonderful to be treated this way. He doesn't decide the fate of your living situation.

Take care.

Anonymoniker
Please don't allow this person to rule your emotions any longer.
He is no good.
He has been jerking you around for far too long now.
You deserve better than this.
(((HUGS)))
Have a good cry then go wash your face.
Treat yourself kindly and be gentle.
Start building your life again filled will nothing but positive and genuine people.

Sincerely, Tillie

He already met someone else. I am devestated. I cant believe he could so easily get with someone new. I know he would never really be there for me....i dont want to be with anyone else....i know this has nothing to do with fixing my place up, except that i dont care about it anymore........

I washed my hair last night, Tillie, and it felt so good. I actually have three sets of sheets right now so one is going to get the boot. I don't need more than two, plus an extra top sheet for kitty in the summer. I have one set of sheets for my fold out couch, which is also enough.

I knew going in to Jan that my 30% reduction of all things was a big amount and I remain dedicated to this amount. I will tackle kitchen tomorrow while plumber is here and will strive for 2 bags out. Will I meet the 30% goal? Of course not but it's a great goal so I can't stop now.

I'd love to see your rag rugs, Tillie.

Hi Tatoulia 🙂
You sure have been a busy bee ;D
WAY TO GO!!! with another bagful gone from your home.
I have showered and shampooed my hair.
Cleaned the kitchen and am doing some laundry.
Until the weather improves I only do smaller items that I can dry inside on the racks.
Have my sheets in the hamper waiting for a sunny day.
These winter days are why I have more sets of sheets than a person with a clothes dryer would have.
But Marty (the cat) loves to sleep in the hamper and doesn't mind.

😉

Hi everyone! I took the bag of clothes to goodwill, but not before adding another pair of very nice pumps that I won't wear again. I didn't take comforter to good will because I had enough to carry as it was.

I'm doing laundry and making dinner. Will write more soon. How is your day going??!!

Sorry to hear that the new neighbors are creepy., Tillie. That's especially tough given your close friendship with your former neighbors.

I changed sheets and got a bag of clothes together including one pair of shoes. Pretty red velvet pumps that I bought years and years ago--velvet not suede--wore only a handful of times & I am sure someone will be happy to get these! Timeless heel and toe shape and in pristine condition. The rest of the bag is all work clothes, suits & blouses.

I have also decided to get rid of a comforter that is cleaned and laundered and in a clear plastic bag. I bought it cheap, it's not my color scheme, I used it two seasons only. Very expensive but I bought on a huge markdown because I couldn't resist. I couldn't resist. So while I'm better at dealing with Justin Case, my bargain hunting is weak. I'm getting better and will get even better. .

Good Morning Everyone 🙂

Hi Tatoulia 🙂
I am jealous of your weather. 😉
WAY TO GO!!! with your donations and tossing worn out things!
I suppose that you could sort the dishes into three piles.
Not chipped, not too badly chipped and very chipped
then let the badly chipped plates go?
Wonderful plan to just fill a bag with anything and just get it out. (((hugs)))

Yesterday I started preparing the fabric strips for my next rag rug.
Still have a ways to go yet.
Today I must wash dishes.
Put it off yesterday so I could do other things.
Another gloomy dark overcast day here. 🙁
Without my neighbor friends here, I find that I am getting lonely.
New people who bought their house are creepy.
Always keep the curtains shut day & night and dogs, cat and kids inside all the time, in the dark.
Lots of other creepy stuff going on there too.

Anyways, almost 10am so I better get dressed. ;D

TTYS 🙂

Hi Tillie! We had sun and decent temps--30F--today. The air was very nice.

Got 3 bags to goodwill--bag of books, bag with coats and one skirt and bag with slippers. I also threw away some slippers that weren't suitable for donating--too worn.

I'm running dishwasher now. Then I'll be in a spot to see if I have enough plates if the chipped ones take leave.

Successful day with brother and then took catfood to mom's. BF is fighting a bug so he's home resting.

Will talk to everyone soon. I've showered and going to wa Ch a movie on Netflix. Not sure which one.

Before I get mom out tomorrow, I need to fill a bag. With anything. Doesn't matter what. Just out.

Good Morning Everyone 🙂

Hi Anonymoniker 🙂
YEA! for your loose tooth finally falling out.
I remember that happy feeling from when I was a little kid and the wiggly tooth finally came out.
You said that you have decluttered enough and now need to clean.
WAY TO GO!!!
Cleaning is so much easier to do when the excess stuff is out of your way.

Hi CriticalMass 🙂
Great plan to ride out this ice storm by taking the time to rest. (((hugs)))

Hi Tatoulia 🙂
Sounds like you had a good day & evening yesterday.
Fingers crossed that Monday you get a bathroom sink that works. 😉

Cloudy, overcast and cold.
Was supposed to be only partially cloudy today,
oh well.
Another three day weekend for him. ;/
Can never accomplish much with him underfoot all day, day after day.
Oh well.
Really looking forward to nicer weather when I can go outside and do stuff in my tiny yard. 😀

TTFN 🙂
