Hi Roxie 🙂
Hope everything went well at the doctor. (((HUGS)))

HELLO EVERYBODY! 😀

Yesterday is finally over with, YEA! lol
Today I have to clean house since tomorrow people will be stopping by for a visit.
This will take a long time since I am already exhausted from yesterday's road trip into Reno and the house is a total disaster area.
Also need to clean & prep the veggies I bought the other day so I can eat them.

Trying to get him motivated to fill the truck with trash and trashed things in the hoard so I can make another dump run on Monday.
Truck is already half full. 😀

Missing hearing from you all and hope every day that you are all doing alright. (((hugs)))

HI! 🙂

Hello Jess 🙂
WAY TO GO!
And GREAT that you are submitting some resumes.
Try to look at finding and getting new employment as an adventure rather than something scary.
This is what I have been doing to over come and master my tendency to be agoraphobic.
You CAN do this! (((hugs))) ;D

Hello Tatoulia 🙂
Sincere condolences (((HUGS)))
Take care and rest whenever you can.
Be extra kind to yourself at this time. (((hugs)))

Going to be hot here today and all through the summer now.
Have a splitting headache that will not go away.
Anyways, today I need to go to the grocery store, pharmacy and the place where I refill my water bottles.
Tomorrow I have to drive to Reno for his doctor appointment.
Water leak at the house I am watching is under control and the areas have dried very nicely with no visible damage. 😀
Hoping that by Friday I will be up to doing a bit of house cleaning because Saturday I will have visitors here. 🙂
Looking forward to someday maybe not having anything planned or scheduled for weeks on end. I need the rest. LOL 😀

TTYL 🙂

I'm here--just dealing with the loss of a good friend and after funeral tomorrow am heading out West for a conference. Thinking of you all and so happy to read your posts. I was so exhausted last week but still managed to check in on everyone, even if I wasn't posting. Glad to hear from so many of you and thank you for all of your posts. Very helpful to see your progress and read your thought processes and hear you cheer us all on. We are a good group.

Hello there

LR, great job with the vehicle project stuff. Glad to see that this place has helped you. I feel the same way 🙂

Tillie, so glad to hear that Mr. H is up and at em and helping you with things around the house/yard. What a change for your daily life!

Today I've cleaned up after myself when I made breakfast and thrown in 2 loads of laundry. I've spent the majority of my time applying for jobs online. I haven't worked in a year and my last job was before I even knew I had OCD and before all my issues really came to a boiling point. I feel ready to take on the responsibility but of course I am a bit nervous. Glad I submitted some resumes.

Fallen off of my workout/eat right thing in the last few days. Making myself go to the gym tonight so I can get myself back on track. Kind of a blah day in the weather department. Puppy is snoring away at my feet <3

Have a good day everybody!

Good morning 🙂

Hi LR2014 😀
Hoping the severe weather systems are not in your area.
Stay safe (((HUGS)))

So far today I have no plans except the usual daily things.
Guess I should get dressed since it is 20 to 11:00am.
Looking forward to all the fresh, more locally grown produce that is about to be available here.
Best time of year for eating! 😀

HEY!!!! Where are you all???

Oh well... 🙁

Glad you got to get a little rest, Tillie. Great to hear that Mr. H is doing better and has even been cleaning the carport! Wow! And thanks for the link to the Matt Paxton article.

Funny.it took me until this morning to notice that I'd signed in as LR2015 a few days ago instead of LR2014. For now, I'm sticking with LR2014, because that's the year I joined this group. Joining the group has been one of the most helpful things I've ever done, so 2014 remains for me a year to be celebrated.

Hugs from LR2014. 🙂

Good Morning 🙂

Hi LR2015 🙂
Yes, I did get to rest, Thanks. 😀
WAY TO GO!!! on the vehicle project and also at the family home! 😀

Yesterday started off good, got 2 loads of laundry out on the clothes line, made spaghetti sauce, hard boiled eggs and made fresh lemonade.
Then went to check on the house I am baby sitting for some friends.
At the house I discovered a water leak. 🙁
It was from the water heater, which had been turned off and drained since the people will be gone about two months.
Well, any way, hoping that the problem has been solved and not too much damage has been done. 🙁
Update on Mr. Hoarder 🙂
He has quit pretending to be lame. Does not need the cane, the nurse or physical therapist.
I think that after spending a whole month in the hospital he became mentally an invalid.
Since the nurses and PT changed their ways of interacting with him he is out of that hospital mentality.
He now mows the grass here and at the house I baby sit. Has been working on cleaning up his hoarded carport. Has the energy and stamina to even clear weeds from our side yard.
He is actually much healthier now than he was before the blood clot happened in his leg. 🙂
Won't be long now before he goes back to work.

Wishing you all a pleasant and peaceful day.
Stay safe (((hugs)))

Thanks, Tillie. I hope you got the chance to rest and relax yesterday. Jess, I have the passivity issues in more than a few areas of my life; ditto to what Tillie said.WTG!

Although rain was a bit of a barrier at times, I did in fact make some progress on my vehicle project yesterday and today. Yea! I also cleaned up some things that were on the walls at that family home and then got them boxed up. Still need to get a few of them packed more securely once I get a little more packing paper.

Happy Sunday!

WAY TO GO!!! Jess 😀

Hey everyone 🙂 I had a pretty productive day. Best part was that I took charge of something myself instead of waiting for my husband to decide what to do. I am working on not being so passive, which is most often the result of me being so afraid of doing things wrong.

We needed some more soil/compost for the garden and I found the place and called to arrange the pick up myself. Found out if our truck could handle the amount we needed. Decided to take the dog with us.

Everything worked out perfectly and the couple that ran the business just loved seeing the dog. They asked us if we wouldn't mind letting him out to romp around the farm - of course not! The little guy was living it up!

Not everything has to be a big scary deal. I am capable of handling things myself. Good outcomes can and will happen. I'll need to remember this in the future I am sure... hoping the more I push myself to try things the more confidence I will build.

Good morning everyone 🙂

Hi Roxie 🙂
"clink"
Making your bedroom more peaceful is a wonderful thing you can do for yourself and your sleep. 😉

Hi LR2015 🙂
Good Luck with the vehicle plan today. 🙂

Yesterday was another one of those days where I was pulled in different directions all day long without any free time.
Days like that wind me up so much that even though I am exhausted I can't get to sleep.
So far, looks like today there will be few, if any, demands on my time. 🙂
Planning to kick back and just coast through the day.
Tomorrow I can think about maybe doing something all grown up and adult. ;P

Thanks, Tillie. Iced tea clinks, Roxie.

I'm extra tired this morning for some reason. I have a special window of opportunity today to work on my "vehicle project," though, so I'm going to plan to push through and do that work for at least an hour and a half this afternoon.

Hi and hugs to all.

No big aspirations today. I need to pay some bills and maybe do some more clearing out/cleaning up in my bedroom.

Thinking of you all.

Well, I did finally get caught up reading posts here from the past week. It's getting late here, so I'll save commments for another time.

Filming is going on for the new Hoarder episodes, right? When will those episodes be showing up on TV (or are some of them on TV already)? Anybody know?

Hi and hugs to all.

Good morning, everyone. First cup of coffee. :::clink""

Tillie, I hope you can catch some time for yourself today. You have so much on your plate, but it is MOST important to take care of you, first.

LR, so good to hear from you!

Jess, good of you to check in. I always want to hear from you, all.

Missing our other usually regular posters, like Diane. I have a bit of brain fog this morning, so if I leave off a name (your name) please excuse.

Bro is off to fill prescriptions, including one of mine. Sun is out and I'll sit outdoors here and there. I've been thinking a lot of what makes me happy and I know I need daily exposure to nature plus I really want a cat to sleep with, even if that makes me peculiar. 🙂

No decision about whether to return to my home state, or sell up and move here. I'm leaning more toward moving here but so much needs to be done back home to prep and sell the place it makes me tired to think of it. Yet I cannot afford to move if I have to pay rent or buy a place. I'm determined to avoid assisted living if I can.

Minnesota seems to have much better help for seniors than at home, though, even if it is more expensive and downright cold a lot.

Hugs and clinks.

GOOD MORNING! 😀

Hi Roxie 🙂
Make sure to schedule in more "self" time.
Also, play more. Just giggle and be silly.

Hi LR2015 🙂
Hope today rolls by at a slower pace for you.
Good luck and WTG! for your to-do plans for today.

Hi Jess 🙂
Here's wishing you great success with your plans today! 😀
I totally understand the OCD stuff. The more stressed I get the more OCD I become, making me even more stressed. (((hugs)))
WTG! for clearing the table and actually using it to eat at!!! 😀

Yesterday was very hectic, with demands pulling me in every different direction. Then I was too wound up to fall asleep at bedtime.
Hoping today I can at least do a few things on my to-do list and possibly even get in some rest.

Hi! to everybody!
Would love to hear you're all alright. 🙂

Hello 🙂

Still riding this big wave of OCD symptoms but I'm here and I'm okay. I have several things I want to accomplish today for general house maintenace so I'm hoping that will make me feel good to finish and keep me distracted in the process.

Have a good day everyone!

Hellooooo, Roxie, Tillie, Tatoulia, Diane, Jess, bitsy, Karl, Dave, and others who might be reading.

The last week has been really, really busy. I'm hoping to slow down a bit today. I still haven't caught up on posts from the past week, and I hope to do that today. I also expect to be doing some laundry and doing a little bit of vehicle clear-out (just a little bit).

Drive by iced tea clink, Roxie!

Hugs to all!

I agree that "just a note" would be good to see. Folks? Hellooooooo out there.

LR, Tat and Tillie, it's so good to see your posts. Just a drive by and a coffee clink is heartening to me.

I've been cranky lately and I'm not sure why, but I know it means I need to take care of myself a bit more. 🙁

It is downright COLD here and that makes me miss my southern home where the weather is mostly wonderful.

Good Morning Everybody! 🙂

Hi Tatoulia 🙂
WAY TO GO! and Good Luck! tackling that clutter magnet area! 😀
Some places need to be checked frequently to catch the clutter before it takes root.
Study the area, take mental notes and devise a plan of attack.
The best defense is a good offense. 😉

Hi LR2014 🙂
Happy to read that you broke up the decluttering tasks with some fun family activities.
WAY TO GO! 😀

Hi Roxie 🙂 "clink"
WONDERFUL! WAY TO GO!
You accomplished a lot and I especially like reading that all your "new" clothes are put away nicely. 😀
Almost all my clothes almost all my life have been and still are "second hand", "hand-me-downs".
I'm what they call a "Second Hand Rose". ;D

Yesterday was chaotic, lots of people to interact with.
Today only one appointment to the local clinic at 1:00pm.
But lots to do around the house.
Need to tidy up a bit around the house.
Need to prepare some real food for myself, been eating too many nibbles since they are convenient.
But then I will have to clean the kitchen, lol.

Everybody take care and write when you can.
"Just-a-note" would be wonderful to see. 🙂

Coffee clink, Roxie! Wow you got a lot done! I had a unproductive weekend and didn't get my routine maintenance done (sheets changed and washing towels and sheets). The weekend was FULL and I'm exhausted so I'm not mad at myself. Will get caught up today or the next.

I have discovered an area of my home where I just let stuff collect. I had it clear a week ago when the friend came over. I need to make that a no clutter zone. I put my grocery bags,my purse, etc in that spot on the floor, and the items seem to collect more items such as shoes. Now that I see it clearly, I am going to clear it right now, and make a promise that I will check that spot daily.

Glad to hear from LR and would love to hear from Bitsy and Diane and everybody else. Dear Tillie, write when you can.

Hello, Monday, friends. ::clink:: Tillie, how are you holding out? ((T))

LR, Tat, good to see you "report in" as requested. We on the board seem to be in a bit of a lull.

Not sure I mentioned that I hung on hangers and put in the closet my "new to me" Good Will blouses and jeans. Picked up all the alreadly-read books off my bed and moved them along to bro to check if he wished to read them before donating. Moved more papers into the stack on the dresser. Emptied some brown paper bags and put them in one spot to re-use or recycle. Filled in my big medicine box for the week.

I kept losing track of what day it was.

OK, Roxie. I haven't gotten caught up on reading all the posts yet, but I saw your request for reports. Here goes...

Spent a couple of hours today working once again at that "family home" I've mentioned before. Spent some of that time cleaning, some of the time boxing up things that the family will probably keep, and some of the time tossing a number of items. I spent most of the day, however, attending some very fun family events.

There you have it...my report for the day. Iced tea clinks.

Good morning everybody 🙂
HI! to everyone.
My house is a disgusting mess.
Today I plan to clean the bathroom, sweep and wash floors and vacuum the carpet.
Need to wash dishes too.
This will be just the minimum amount of cleaning needed but I will feel better about living here when it's done.
Without any interruptions it should take about three hours, house really is very tiny.

Keep up all the wonderful progress you all have been making.
And even the little things really add up and you should celebrate getting them done too, not just the big major ones. (((hugs)))
