THE GRATITUDE LIST

The Gratitude List

Hi All!
Sorry I have been so absent lately, things are just extremely busy for me right now. I have been working with a business coach and he is helping me as a person, not just a businessman. With that being said, I want to share with you one of the exercises he has been having me do daily which I think has helped me a lot deal with the stresses of every day life. Each day for 21 days, I write down 3 things I am grateful for. That's it! Why is this important? We all tend to hold onto the negative things in life, instead of stepping back and appreciating everything that is good in our lives. I encourage you to try this, and remind yourself everything you have in your life that you are grateful for. It can be anything and everything from your health, to friends on this board, a beating heart, a roof over your head, etc. I think you can all find this helpful in reeling in the emotions that can cause us undue stress each day. Make your own list and post it here for the next 21 days. Can you commit to that?

My daily list:
1) God
2) My Family
3) My Health

Lets see yours now 🙂

I am grateful for humor and perspective. After making drops at the dump 3 times this week - the attendant asked me if I was moving. I confessed to being "kind of a" hoarder. He asked me if I could see my ceilings. I said YES. He said, "Then you're not a hoarder!" I guess it's all relative. Back to the dump after Labor Day...

I am grateful for the insight I am gaining in the book, "Buried in Treasures"... Surprised, as well. Perhaps I've simply had enough of this life"style" and facing (and handling) reality is my only option. Never give up !

I am grateful that I just received a copy of "Buried in Treasures". Now comes the hard work ... facing the reality of my situation in a realistic way that will actually lead to moving the mountains OUT of here.

I am grateful that due to the excellent care of the home health nurses he has been able to return to work today after all these months.
Their skill and hard work not only saved his leg but also gave him back his life.

I am grateful for waking up extra early and getting to enjoy some end-of-the-night fresher temperatures (and that the big second heatwave they had promised for late July has so far stayed away). And for thinking about putting a bottle of water in the fridge before going to sleep last night so I could enjoy some nice cold water this morning. 🙂

Grateful that today I got to go and sew with my girlfriends, got several blocks sewn. Also they had cooked roast beef for lunch, and since I'm 11 days out from payday and too broke to have anything like that on my own nickel, it was really a treat. I'll reciprocate somehow when I'm able. We all had a good time, and that was a happy thing.

Also I stopped by my storage and just tossed in some bulky items such as containers - it wasn't a real "Cleanup" session but it got the items out of my van which helps with weight, gas mileage, visibility, and made me feel better, too! 😉
