Sorry to hear about the argument, SubC. That's no fun. Great that the Halloween things will soon find new homes. I slept once work was over (2PM eRly closing). Then at 830 I got up and went to grocery store. Dropping off pies for various people tomorrow and one person is diabetic so I needed to get him some pistachios instead. These are people in my brother's building.

I'll talk to you all tomorrow. Tillie thank you for telling me to sleep. I really needed it. Sending strength and support for the next few days.

I have been cleaning up today, but in sort of a slow and desultory fashion.

I had planned to really hit the house this morning, but then dh decided that it was more important to clean up the barn (which will not have people in it this weekend) and we had a big fight about my stored cardboard.

And now I have very little energy or interest left.

Youngest is home and chose a few Halloween decorations and then sent photos to middle child. Oldest will be here Saturday and can throw anything left that she doesn't want into the goodwill box for me.

Good Morning Everyone πŸ™‚

Tatoulia πŸ™‚
Get some sleep.
It is harder if not impossible to accomplish anything when we are tired.

Nice warm sunny day here.
Doing a little bit of laundry.
Since Steven will be home for 4 days straight starting tomorrow, I am not going to bother doing any cleaning/tidying up around here.
He will just mess it up anyways and this way I won't feel like strangling him.
Would be nice if he spent a little time picking up all the garbage strewn around his desk.
The heap is getting so tall it's slipping and falling over.
It's mostly food related trash and that does encourage rodents & insects.
Then he complains to me and wants me to kill them.
Any more I just spray around the door to keep them contained in his room.
Anyways...
Today I am going to enjoy myself.
Have my yarn and crochet hooks out and will decide what I am going to crochet. πŸ˜€

Good morning! Working from home today.

Tillie good to hear you got out of the house. Today is very very rainy and grey. I don't mind this type of day as I am working from home. Enjoyed the concert last night.

Trying to mentally keep dieting and bracing myself for the onslaught of food the next six weeks.

Will try to make progress today. I'm desperate for progress. And sleep. I'm tired.

Hello Everybody πŸ™‚

Hi Tatoulia πŸ™‚
Have a WONDERFUL! time at the concert. πŸ˜€
WTG! for a clear & clean counter!!!

Needed to get out of the house today.
Honestly, the cats were getting on my nerves,
always something they wanted or them telling me that I'm doing something wrong.
Went into town for about an hour & half and came home in a much better frame of mind.
The cats treated me much better too.
Did some laundry, did cat related chores.
Then generally slacked off until the laundry was dry & ready to be put away.

Hello everyone! Hope the humidifier is working well, Joan! Anony, keep the faith. We can do this!

SubC sounds like you had a fun time at the sale! Good shopping! Tillie I'm glad you did some relaxing!

CM and Tess--hellooooo!

I am leaving for a concert soon. I buy myself one ticket to a classical concert the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Calms and restores my soul. I'll have to leave in just a moment.

I called mom to check in and while talking to her I wiped down my one clean kitchen counter, I swept the kitchen and I swept the library area. I have the dishwasher poised to start in four hours since I don't like to run it while I'm gone yet I don't want to forget to start it.

Now I'm ready to find my ticket, my keys, and get going.

Hi πŸ™‚

Got up this morning and was busy all day.
Mostly doing fun stuff inside since it was overcast & gray all day.
Did wash dishes and did do cat stuff and also washed my hair.
But mostly just messed around sorta playing. πŸ™‚

I am so glad we have each other here. Enriches all of our lives.

Very cold here and my hands are already cracked and bleeding. I wear rubber gloves for most everything but I wash my hands too many times. They hurt so much tonight.

Garbage out/shredding done/litter tray cleaned/got rid of two cardboard boxes.

I have not wrapped the gifts. I did almost nothing all weekend except the usual--changing bed linens, kept up with dishes.

I am very tired and going to bed now.

Love you all. Appreciate being able to share my life with you. Thank you all.

Anony, it is a hard road away from biological family. It is worth it in the long run.

If you can step outside of the limits of your DNA box even briefly, you will feel a sense of relief. If you repeat the excercise, you will find it easier and easier to step away. You will find that there is more love awaiting you outside of that box than inside of it. Eventually you will say, "Why do I need that old box anyway?" Then you can throw the box away and just keep what you want to keep from it.

Certainly each person's home is a reflection of their own consciousness. However, the meaning of the home's contents are known only to the occupant. What looks like trash to others may well have been an integral and indispensable part of a process of survival and growth.

My Coach in spirit world started telling me a few months ago,
➑️"You can't move into your house until you move into your body."⬅️

The house starts to reflect the new consciousness when it is time for that step.

My thoughts are with you on your journey.

Good Morning Everyone πŸ™‚

YEA!!! Subclinical! πŸ˜€
I too would probably buy a small artesian made item with a cat on it. ;D
Thank you. Yes, that would be nice to have some of this hoard swallowed up into a big hole.
Oh Well...
Have a GREAT time today at the event! (((hugs)))

Hi Tatoulia πŸ™‚
Thank you πŸ˜‰
WOW! Just WOW!
A pretty new dress and your watch all from shopping at home!
I am so happy for you (((hugs)))
Going through "the change" without HRT I too just ate whatever whenever I chose.
Was so miserable anyway figured "why not?"
Happy you are back on track and taking better care of yourself.
I am too but fortunately all my clothes still fit throughout the whole ordeal.

Have 2 loads of wash out on the line because I am switching out Autumn stuff to Winter stuff today.
Needed to wash the Autumn stuff before packing it away until Spring when I will want the medium warm stuff again.
Temperatures down in the teens over night and daytime highs are only getting up to the 40s & 50s.
I am so relieved/happy and feeling calm & peaceful today.
Sure, there are still issues to be dealt with here but things that were urgent have been solved. πŸ˜€

Congratulations on day 1 of the sale! Hope today goes well! Let us know what you bought--something made by hand and lovingly has true value and worth. I know people tend to buy the smaller items but I try to buy one big piece I can enjoy. Wish I could shop with you today.

Have someone in from Turkey today. Will meet him at 3:00. Til then I'd really like to see some progress here.

Hi all! First day of the sale went really well. (I am a tiny bit dissapointed that one of my best sellers is a simple little low skill required dish with a silk screen print of a cat. But hey, people like cats and money is good and they aren't shopping at Walmart.) Getting ready for today.

Tillie I am so glad your septic is fixed! Too bad a big chunk of the hoard didn't fall through.

Tatoulia, that is fantastic about the weight loss! You must feel better too.

I am going to shop today at the sale. I give myself permission to buy things just because they are beautiful and were made by hand with care.

Congratulations on a successful repair project AND the surprise in the mail! Nice to have s few seconds respite from the usual, I am sure.

Saw brother and mom and then napped. Tillie I found a beautiful sparkly dress in my closet that I had forgotten about and it fits me better now than when I first bought it! It is hand washable so I will freshen it up. I have recently purchased two new dressy dresses and now I can return one. So excited.

Weight loss continues to go well. My watch fits again (forgive me if I've mentioned this already--have a very nice watch that BF gave me a few years back and I haven't been able to wear it due to weight gain). I took watch to jeweler yesterday and had battery replaced. I wore it yesterday and today. A few more pounds and it will fit even better but for now I am thrilled.

I am really doing it. I'm losing the weight. I'll have to figure out what date they took out my thyroid--might've been six years ago. That's when I let myself go. Dr said I'd gain weight and so instead of watching my weight, I decided to 'take advantage' of the situation and eat with no control. I've had to relearn my usual habits and relearn what hunger and being big full feel like.

Hello Everybody πŸ˜€

Hi Tatoulia πŸ™‚
Thank you.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! ;D

Hi Joan πŸ™‚
Thank you.
WTG! for doing humidifier maintenance!

Hi Subclinical πŸ™‚
Hoping you are having a wonderful time and lots of success! πŸ˜€

Hi Tess πŸ™‚
Hi CriticalMass πŸ™‚
Hi Anonymoniker πŸ™‚

Well...
The septic tank is now safe again.
This tank is between 75 to 100 years old.
Back then they made them out of very large very thick redwood planks and the tanks last forever.
There are still quite a few of these old tanks functioning in this county, mine being one of them.
Over the years the planks placed over the top do tend to deteriorate due to the normal wear & tear of the elements even though they are covered with tar paper and buried under more than a foot of dirt.
That one ancient plank finally gave up the ghost.
Fortunately the man we know who maintains septic systems in this area is an old timer and an expert in maintaining and evaluating these old tanks.
My septic tank is once again in excellent condition. πŸ˜€
The registration tag for the car arrived in the mail! πŸ˜€
I am so happy that Steven was the one to have his foot fall through into the septic tank instead of me & my foot!
But He's about 100 pounds heavier than I am and I probably wouldn't have been heavy enough to break through.
He did throw away his shoes, socks and pants.
I told him if it were me I would have cut off and tossed out my foot too.
;D HaHaHaHaHa...

The old filter is filthy. Note to self to change it at least twice a year.

Good luck Tillie!

Hi Hi Hi πŸ™‚

Just a quick note to let you all know that we are dealing with a major home issue right now.
Finally convinced Steven to call the professionals to fix this problem properly since he can't.
Steven's foot went right through the top of our septic tank the other night.
I want the WHOLE top fixed properly & the pros are coming out today!
;D

Happy Saturday!

Going to see brother and hopefully have enough strength to get mom out too. It's nice when I can get both of them out on the same day. Gives me a day alone.

This weekend I want to deal with boxes. I've gotten quite a few packages lately and I'll need two boxes for Christmas gifts. The others need to go to recycle bin. I need to make my decisions and act.

I'd also like to clean off the top of my bookshelves, wrap the gifts I've already bought and put them there. I need to get things out of my way.

So....what are you doing today?

Ok there are a lot of posts here--and I hope I don't leave anyone out or become confused....but let's face it, earlier this week I posted under Tillie's name...

Joan! I am sorry about the scare and very pleased that you were able to order a new humidifier. Dryness is so hard on the body.

Tess, I hate that. I so hate that. I hate the self-doubt and being a good sport and being dumped and all of it. I remember those feelings and situations. Wondering what I did wrong and having to be a good sport and all that jazz. You are wonderful and valuable. And please remember, my dear friend, that Time is the answer. Just please find a way to stop looking at yourself in a bad light. You and he weren't a good fit because YOU ARE WONDERFUL and HE'S A JERK and those types of differences can't be reconciled.

SubC wishing you a good sale! Looking forward to hearing about it!

Now, who has the bunnies. I think it's CM. I hope the bunny is doing ok. I know you are being a great bunny nurse!

Tillie I am smiling from ear to ear to think that you had a nice long visit with your neighbor! Boy that was so sad when they moved.

Ok someone got a flu shot--Anony??!!?? I got mine two weeks ago at work so I too hope to be as healthy as possible this season.

Very busy at work. There are mountains of work. Trying not to be stressed. It's the quantity that is difficult.

I need to do cleaning this weekend. No excuses. Who can help keep me honest or hold me accountable??!!

Love you all. Tess you are valuable.

Tess, I second what Tillie said to you. You are not repulsive. Low or even moderately wavering self-esteem, in today's environment, attracts predators who make the victim feel even worse about themselves. Personally I have a couple of friends, and otherwise try to keep humans at bay.

Tillie, great that you had a nice visit with your ex-neighbor!

I had a bad experience a couple of nights ago. Some of my health problems are made worse by dryness, so I turned on my humidifier, but had not cleaned it. During a difficult night I remembered that mold is much worse for my health problems than is dryness. So the next day I ordered new humidifier filters and Bacteriostat, and am awaiting delivery. Happily the outside temperature is still good. Trying to get by until the new supplies arrive without turning on the humidifier.

Keep up the good work, everyone.

Hi Tess πŸ™‚
WAY TO GO!!!
For tackling those big chores you've been dreading
and those few daily minutes really do add up and help overall. πŸ˜€
You are NOT repulsive!
You are a valuable human being deserving of respect and love. (((((HUGS)))))

My neighbor friend who moved away last year surprised me today with a visit!
It was so wonderful seeing her again.
We sat and talked for hours.
All my plans for doing stuff today were happily tossed out the window.
PLUS, my house was truly "good enough" to let her in even though it's dusty and really needs some attention, it was generally tidy, sorta. πŸ˜€

Hi everybody! I haven't posted in a couple weeks. I just wanted to stop and say hello! I've been in the dumps and haven't had much to say. I got dumped a couple weeks ago. Instead of leaving after like a decent human, he really does want to be friends. He hung out as if nothing had just happened. He even made plans for several days next month including a weekend out of town. He also had the nerve to ask me if he could ask my friend out. I should have walked away, but I'm too much of a pushover. So, I've been spending my days trying to figure out why I'm so repulsive and why I have no spine. Despite that, I have been keeping up cleaning for a few minutes daily. I've actually tackled a couple big chores I've been dreading. That felt good.

Hello Everyone πŸ™‚

Hi Subclinical πŸ™‚
I know just how inconvenient this must be for you.
We use the credit card to pay for everything and then pay it off monthly when the bill arrives so we don't need to carry any more cash than to pay for things 5 dollars or less.
Hope you can still get everything you need, even though you have to use cash.
(((hugs)))
Saw you posted while I composed this post...
Good luck with getting all ready for your sale!
WTG! for stickers & business cards! ;D

Hi Tatoulia πŸ™‚
Thank you, I do feel very content having the pantry fully stocked, Lots of cat food & treats and lots of T.P. πŸ˜€
Hope your work day went smoothly.

Hi CriticalMass πŸ™‚
YEA!!! for that quilt top! πŸ˜€
WAY TO GO! for the flu shot, hope you have a healthy virus free Winter.
Poor puppy (((HUGS))) good he's feeling better now.
Keep up the great care for the bunny. The bunny appreciates everything you do for her.
Ohhhh... no furnace yet???
Don't worry, once it gets cold enough that cat will snuggle and help keep you warm. ;D

Did one load of laundry and cleaned the kitchen today.
Then did assorted random other stuff here & there.
But kind of spaced out a lot too.
Hate when there are a lot of different choices of things to eat.
I have a very hard time making up my mind what to eat.
Think I will make up a daily weekly menu and follow that instead of trying to decide every day what to eat. ?

Grape juice clinks! I had some grape juice in the fridge I need to finish up so I had a coffee cupful.

Tatoulia, I'm glad you're not a soul eater, zombie, vampire, or anything of that sort. LOL!

Clutter ate my soul there for awhile, then I met you guys! πŸ˜‰ Today is my clutter cleaners meeting day but I have just this little bit of time to post. It's been crazy as usual and days are a blur, but here's what I do remember accomplishing:

I finished my quilt top! Got the borders sewn on plus a "false" border that is just for something to tack the quilt into the frame, then it gets ripped off after quilting and the border sewn on. I'll be making the border strips soon.

I also had to make templates for marking the quilting designs. Used a little burning tool thing, but it leaves ragged edges. Wish I had room and could afford a Cricut or something. But don't know if I'd use it a whole lot. Places like Kinko's/Fedex ought to offer that as a service if you only need a couple of stencils cut.

Today I finished up the bunny club's quarterly newsletter, which had been dragging out - not all my procrastination, some of the holdup was computer glitches on both ends - I was awaiting photos of bunnies and then my computer was being sluggish.

Got my flu shot Monday.

Dog was sick starting Monday a.m. going from both ends. It was gross. He's recovering now.

Elderly bunny girl is hanging in there pretty well. Thinking of more things I can do to help her be comfortable and move with ease.

Still no furnace repairs. Cat would sleep with me but then the weather warmed back up a bit and he has no need for me. I must not take this personally! It's supposed to climb up to 78 here Friday and I need to do outdoor stuff if it does.

Hope we get some warm days here and there - since I moved my storage unit, I haven't done the organizing it needs to be really useful. I need to get started on that again.

Tally ho!

Coffe clinks!

Good work getting your supplies, Tillie! I hope it brings you some peace of mind!

SubC oh boy--what a shame about the cc and the possibility it is one of your students. Honestly I'm surprised that it's 10 business days--I thought the cc companies were much more on top of things than that. What a shame.

Suddenly I just got very busy at work. Will write more later.
