Good morning 🙂

Have no real plans for the day.

Few things that I may or may not get to.
First I will do my usual daily tasks.

Today is cloudy & cool but yesterday it got all the way up to 70 degrees! 😀

What are you doing today?

I was able to finish all the hard work getting the yard/garden ready for Spring.

There are a few things that I was/am planning to do today out there.

Spray the baby Ash trees to try to prevent the caterpillers that make their leaves curl.

Set up the wasp traps. There are already wasps flying all around! :O

My allergies are really acting up today and my back is stiff.

But my little yard/garden area looks beautiful! 😀

Too bad that it is all surrounded by old vehicles, weeds and general "stuff" and can't be seen from the road. lol 😉

Good morning 🙂

What are YOU doing today???

I know what I plan to do.
More out in my garden area.
Accomplished a lot yesterday but still have a lot more to do.

I am getting old 🙁
Used to be able to get a lot more done in a day than I can do now.

The weather is nice and it feels good to be outside after being inside all winter.

Good morning 🙂

Today I plan to go outside and do some gardening.

I need to re-make the wells around the trees and bushes.
The ground here is sand. Nice fine sand, great for drainage.
The quail love to roll around in this sand and take their little dirt baths.
They especially like to do this in my tree wells and that flattens the sides out so they would not hold water.

Sometimes I have had as many as 100 quail run through my yard at one time!

All summer long I maintain the tree wells but after a long winter I always need to rebuild them.lol

Have some fun today! 😀

Hi Dianne 🙂

BIG "WAY TO GO!" on tackeling that area! 😀

It sounds easier for you now that the other Granma is helping out.
You have so much pet care to do daily. Right now all my cats are taking turns getting snuggles from me while I am trying to post. 😀 lol

Good luck with your To-Do list today.

Now off to post my list.

Hi Beverly 🙂

Glad you still have your sense of humor! 😀

It is almost impossible to get any projects done at home when you have such a busy work schedule.

When we get physically and mentally exhausted the little annoyances in life seem to get under our skin more so than usual.

That radio is expensive! :O
I find it rediculous how much they charge for new car parts these days.

Take care of yourself and check in here when you get a chance.

TTYL, Tillie 🙂

Hi Tillie,

I took your advice to clear one square foot. It seemed so small but it did lead to more inches all around. 🙂

Jakey and Anna's other Grandma from out of town wants to spend 2 weeks doing the sleepover care for Anna. I will still do the after school activities 3 days a week.

So I have some unbroken time during the day and hope to keep the small, slow, steady momentum.

Today will be maintenance.
Pay bills.
Get a leprechaun package in the mail to Jakey.
Finish clearing one hallway.

Have a good day. 🙂

Hey Tillie! I'm glad to see you are back. I was starting to get worried.

I haven't been here in a couple of weeks. I've been working a lot doing cookie/cracker resets at Albertsons and a few times I was the only team member to show up so I had a few 18 hour days. At least that will be good for my paycheck. Tomorrow they are sending me over 100 miles away to Buellton. I hope the others show up.
I haven't been able to do anything to clean up my mess at the house. just come home, sleep for a few hours and back to work.

I took my car to the dealership and found out my radio is toast after my neighbor clanked the jumper cables together and blew it out. $700.00 for a new one. 🙁 So I looked at new cars/SUVs. A new one would have a factory warranty and be safer sitting up high so I can see better...but I also need 2 roofs and probably shouldn't take on a car payment. I'm getting overwhelmed with silly problems. Maybe I should tell my neighbor that he blew out my radio but he was just trying to help me so I didn't say anything.

Why are simple nothing things so hard for me? I remember when I had REAL problems. Maybe the nonstop working got to me...can't think anymore.

Then there's my old saying... "When things get really bad or crazy, go out and buy a new car...it makes you feel much better"... lol.. at least I still have my sense of humor.

Hi Dianne 🙂

Good luck with the goat trails today!

Remember that slow & steady gets it done.
Start with the goal of clearing a small area about one foot square.
This way you will be able to see good results quickly.

Seeing good results will be motivating for you to do another square. And so on. 😀

You can even sit in a chair and get to whatever you can reach. This is a good way to rest a bit while you work.

I am here cheering you on! 😀

Good Morning everybody,

Well afternoon really, I haven't changed the clocks. I have the weekend at home as son-in-law is with granddaughter for the weekend.

Yesterday I totally vegged out. The back and forth of two households took its toll.

So today will be maintenance. Then there are a couple of goat trails that are really getting on my nerves. My goal is to clear 2 areas, one in familyroom, one in my bedroom.

Ug but I feel lazy today.

It is later than I thought! 🙁

Daylight savings time is the pits.

Remember that tonight's chat is at 5pm PST.

Springing forward is always worst than Falling back.
Wish they would stop this silly nonsense.

Good morning 🙂

Saturday!
I have no plans for today.
Hoping my Hoarder will tackle the project we discussed.

The front yard up close to the house is my area where I have my garden & lawn.
Between this area and the road is another area.
The area that you first see when approaching our property.
He has three trucks parked & abandoned there.
Weeds and nasty little trees all growing up around them. Some trees are actually growing up through the engine compartments.
The wind has blown tumbleweeds into all this mess too. The wasps love to nest in the vehicles and dry rotting foliage.

He said he would clean it up. He has been saying that for years now.

Maybe this weekend he will actually do it.

Why am I always such an optimist?

TTYL 🙂

So far the only thing that I have been eating today is tootsie pops. 🙂

So far today I have had 20 tootsie pops; and right now I'm eating my 21st one. 🙂

I have no idea why, but for some reason I have been really obsessed with tootsie pops lately. 🙂

Thanks MayMay 😀

Public Service Announcement...

Daylight savings time is a great time to put a fresh battery into your smoke alarms.

If you do not have a smoke alarm
PLEASE make it a priority to get one and install it this month.

The life you save may be your own. 🙂

Good morning 🙂

Still dark, cloudy, snowy type of day here.

My plan for today...
There is this small area in "The Garage" where I keep things that belong stored in a garage.

The hoarder in my life has piled things up in front of this area making it impossible to get to my stuff.

I am going to be needing this stuff I have stored out there. Things that I need to work around the garden with.

Today I am going to suit up and go in there and try to free my things from this area.
There is nowhere else to keep yard and garden things.

This is the best time of year to enter "The Garage" because the snakes are still hibernating and the black widow spiders are not active and the only critters I will have to face are the deer mice.

I will wear a face mask and strip down and shower right afterward.

Wish me luck & send out a search party if you don't hear back from me by sun down. 😀

Today I have to pack for my trip to Houston. I am leaving tomorrow afternoon. 🙂

Then later on today I am going to take Matt and Cory to my boyfriend's house; where we will be spending the night. And then Matt and Cory are going to stay there while I'm in Houston. 🙂

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

Because I have no idea...

I tried to find out by licking a tootsie pop while my boyfriend counted how many times I have licked it; but then my boyfriend lost count. So I just decided to go ahead and bite into it. 🙂

Plus my tongue was starting to get tired. Lol. 🙂

We are on our own well too and I always keep a jug of water stored on hand
"Just In Case" because the power goes out sometimes for no reason at all.

Tillie what a great idea to leave those leaves thru the winter as ground protection! And congrats on the 2 hour rake workout! Your garden must be so beautiful. What a relaxing place to enjoy your accomplishments. 🙂

MayMay how cool that Matt and Corey are GSDs! Aren't they just amazing you with their intelligence? Really good that you can take them to work too. And congratulations to you. Raising German Shepherds is no easy feat. I wish you many years of health and companionship!

Yesterday wore me out with my tasks and the tasks with my granddaughter at her house.

So for me today I only have planned to do my maintenance work.
And prep for the snow ~ cat litter, shovel, ice scraper in truck. Crank up heat in house and fill jugs of water. When we lose electricity we lose water too as we are on a well.

Take care everybody.

WTG! On raking all those leaves Tillie. 🙂

I had a GREAT cardio workout today.
Spent two full hours raking!
In Autumn we leave most of the leaves in the yard.
They cover the plants and help keep them from freezing to death during Winter.
Today I got the rest of them all raked out of my areas. 😀

The Daffodils, Iris, Day Lilys, Grape Hyacinth and Rhubarb are all starting to poke their leaves up through the dirt.
