In the past three weeks I have managed to lose my work ID badge and my watch in the living room clutter. I need to find both of them.

Good for you, Barb! My watch is lost, has been for 8 or 9 days; I really need it tomorrow morning. Maybe it fell under my bed.

Whew!: Glad you found your papers. When I was around 11 I lost a gold ring that my aunt gave me. She felt angry and disappointed, and I, very sad, sorry, guilty and embarrassed 🙁 About me: I now have a new student card...

FOUND! Under a stack of laundry, I found a batch of medical referral papers...Only one missed diagnostic appointment, which I will reschedule. I'm relieved.

I lost a beautiful amethyst ring that my great aunt gave me when she died. (Amethyst was my mother's birthstone--who had died a few years before.) My aunt wore the ring everyday for almost my entire life. She wanted me to have the ring because of my close connection to her and because I lost my mother, too. I feel both sad at my loss, and shame because of my lack of care of such a treasure. What I am finding is that as I work through the "hoarding exercises," I am learning to feel less trauma over the loss of physical items. They represent the people that we love, but, are not, in fact, incarnations of those people. Still very sad, but a little less horrified at my own mistake.

About things: I lost my student card. About me: Think I've lost myself. Need to re-find me in order to go ahead.

diane, I hope your timer comes back soon. I was recently in a panic over mine. I needed to use it away from the kitchen and then it wasn't there when I needed it. It took me a day to find it. It turned out I'd set it down in an obscure place when turning out a light and moving an exercise bike, and then forgot to pick it up again. I'll need to use it that way again, I'll just have to be more careful next time. But I know how inconvenient and frustrating it is not to have it. You might be able to find a pdf of your camera manual online until your paper copy turns back up.

I found almost a whole sheet of rate change makeup stamps from some rate change many years ago. Searching shows them to be one cent value. This was about a week after I bought some one and two cent stamps to use with other old stamps. !!!!

Found: book of stamps. (I knew it was here somewhere, and didn't want to buy a replacement book before I had to.)

I put my appointment calender in a new convenient home, and haven't been able to remember where it was put, have spent time daily looking for the "convenient home".

Found: assorted batteries, noted as misplaced in my April 15 report. Also found: forehead lamp useful for bicycling after sunset. The batteries need to be replaced, but I can do that now.

Found: a fork that I'd tossed into a random bag while moving out. I knew it was here somewhere, but had no idea which bag it was in. (Since I already have enough silverware for myself here, and this one is not the same pattern so it'll be harder to remember that it's mine and not my housemate's, I think I'll probably take it to the storage unit on my next trip, to keep it with the other utensils.)

Yea for the recovery disks!

Lost: bag of unused batteries; last seen at previous home shortly before the move. I thought I'd checked all of the bags or boxes it might have been in, but perhaps it's in a more subtle location. Found: manuals and recovery disks for my previous laptop computer, which stopped working a few months ago (possibly disk trauma from dropping on floor). It's unclear whether it'll be possible to actually recover it, but at least now I have the means to try.

I join the list of those who have lost or misplaced one of those expensive-type car keys with remote attached to it. I haven't seen it in several years (nor have I ripped things apart looking for it yet). I have a strong suspicion it could be in a certain section of one room. I'll let you all know if I ever find it.

Still rooting for you on the $100 bills! I've found two Honduran 1 lempira notes. I doubt they're useful for anything except bookmarks here.

I got a special treat today. I got a camera holder out of its original bag, from years ago, never used. It has telescoping legs that go up to 5 feet tall. it has a screw to put in to base of my camera I got last year from friend. It works beautifully. Many of my pictures are blurry when I hold camera, so am excited to try it outside once frozen fog is gone. Shopping at home is such fun.

Not really "lost" since I knew its approximate location, but I found a money order that I'd gotten from my bank and then didn't need after all. I've now taken it back to the bank and re-deposited it.

I found some books I'd love to read in a box in my bedroom. Found the manual for my coffeemaker that was driving me crazy. Found my yoga DVD!

Yesterday I found my runner's belt! Not an expensive item but it is a good example of how my clutter can get in the way of healthy habits. Now I can get back to running while listening to music and I can carry my key and whatever else. I put off buying a new one because I new it was in the apartment somewhere. Also I found a work shirt that has been "missing" for at least 6 months.
