I have had a problem with hoarding/cluttering for most of my adult life. I currently live in a small apt. The apt complex does two yearly inspections of the apts. I just had one done on Monday. Don't know the results of the inspection yet. I had to take drastic measures to get ready for this inspection. I rented a 5' x 10' storage unit close by, and rented a U-Haul van to transport a number of boxes and bags full of stuff to get it out of my apt temporarily. My plan is to go through that stuff, little by little and deal with it then and there (keep it, throw it out, donate it or sell it). During the whole process of moving all of it out of my apt., I experienced so much anxiety! I am always afraid of what the management will tell me about my apt. I'm glad I found this site!
