I'm looking for advice. My mother-in-law has been hoarding for 30 years. We finally moved her out of the house into an appartment but now her house is in such bad shape because animals have gotten in the house and have made a real stinking mess of it. My husband and I just want to gut the place. My nephew has stepped up and said he will take on the job. We are planning to get a big dumpster and just have him and some other workers to just trash everything but my concern is that there are animals and their mess now and I'm concerned for my nephew's and the worker's safety. Can anyone provide some insight on the safety issues and what we can do to prevent anyone from getting sick in the process? Also I'm considering just hiring a professional but I talked to one hoarder removal company and they told me it could cost between $4K and $65K! Yikes! Does anyone have a recommendation for a reasonable priced company in Houston? | |
