I just recently had major changes in my home and discovered I am keeping stuff and not taking care of it or me. I am awake now!! Actually, I started July 2nd cleaning out my home and making big strides until an accident in home injured my hand badly in late July and now I am unable to do much cleaning out by myself. I don't have any extra money since I need to pay my medical bills but I was wondering if there is any volunteer assistance in the Tampa area I could contact to get some help keeping this cleaning going. I am getting depressed seeing this mess on a daily basis. I need to get this done!! Thanks for any answers!! | |

I wish I lived closer so I could help you (I'm in Upstate NY). Have you tried calling any churches, call the pastor and see if he can find some volunteers? Or maybe youth groups, boy scouts, etc? I hope you can find some help. | |

Guess I need to explain what I have and pray someone will reply...otherwise I guess I am on my own and I will look at other avenues to explore before this mess takes over me. Most of my house is in good shape. I have 3 rooms that need help and one shed. I am allowing my frail 78 year old father help me with one room this next week because I am getting more depressed by the day unable to do much by myself and he is so worried about me. This will leave 2 rooms and the shed. One room needs to just be packed up and moved out (long story but it is NOT my stuff). Person who owns it is not trusting and I cannot allow in home. Last room is the worst and shed is not too bad. Again, need volunteers because of my medical expenses. Thanks for any help or recommendations anyone can give. | |
