Hi, I live in VA. My Mother fell broke her back and will be in hospital for a few more weeks. In order for her to return home I must clean up and make room for her to be able to move freely with a walker/ wheelchair. This is a daunting task. There is so many pretty things displayed in her apt, along with clutter for the ages. I have a tendency to be a hoarder as well and I am having the hardest time trying to remove things, and put them somewhere where she can have the choice of getting rid of, donating, or selling. I feel like I am going mad. I am so overwhelmed with emotions and work to do I can't seem to start anywhere. Everywhere I have been looks almost the same. I have only one other person to help me and she is a mother of three without a babysitter. Needless to say the apt is NOT baby proofed. My Mother is on a fixed income and I myself am not rich. I don't think we would have the funds to hire someone, and I wouldn't know how to find them either.
Please if anyone has been in a similar situation and can offer some advise on where or how to begin I would so appreciate it. My Mother is ready to liquidate some of her possessions, and it is important to get rolling on this process so can can return to her apt and be able to live. What she is in now is not living, I don't know how she can stand it. I am perplexed
