Hi, I just met a neighbor who is the kindest human being and he takes excellent care of his dog and fish and his garden and fruit trees, but the house is just beyond fathomable. His daughter's room is kept clean but he does not have full custody. He is trying to sell the house in this state and just seems oblivious as to the state of it. It breaks my heart and I want to connect him with resources but I cannot afford to pay for the services and neither can he. In St. Louis, MO area.

Hello

Does he want assistance, has he asked for help?

If so...

Different cities and counties have different services so look/ask around in your city.
Unfortunately there aren't many places that offer free help.
Sometimes it's available for handicapped senior citizens in some places.
But most times there is no financial help.
Some churches may have volunteers doing charity work.
