Books... Books... and More Books (magazines & research articles, too) ...slowly learning to let them go knowing so much can be accessed/learned/referenced via internet, library, etc. | |

K10 for me Karl. Being a Graphic Designer, inspiration comes in the format of PACKAGING. Only the other day did I buy a large square pizza-box type purely on the design of the packaging. £2 for a box of chocolates. But the chocolates were wonderfully designed too. Thin 'after8' type chocolates in dark and milk chocolate. The protective stuffing was in a similar design to the outer box. I COULDN'T NOT BUY IT. It set my passion on fire. I am scared sometimes of going out at all, if I can't resist buying the packaging.

I didn't think of myself as a hoarder or collector, but: 1) months of mail piled around the house, mostly unopened; 2) recycle materials: steel cans, aluminum cans, corrugated cardboard, plastics #1 and #2, all meant to go to the recycle centers; 3) boxes of collectibles I accumulated years ago. The boxes are neatly stored in a room I almost never go into. They aren't contributing to the squalor so I discount them. | |

Sheesh, I forgot to add the biggest one. K11. Unsorted (and usually unopened) business mail -- from bank, utilities, etc. Since I check my debts online, I started tossing the envelopes into a pile "to file permanently when I have time". | |

I'll use an initial as well as a number on my list, in case people want to make follow-up comments about specific items. K1. Grocery bags (paper & plastic) K7-K10 are potential "arts & crafts" stock, but I accumulate them faster than I use them. | |
