I am desparate. I have my Mother on board to hire a cleaning company, because her home has been condemned. It is savable. If I could find a lending institution that does not do an inspection for a home equity loan, we could hire the cleanup company. She has enough equity to get a loan. I'm looking for names of potential lending institutions. I've tried searching for a lender that just does a drive-by. The only ones I've found require banking or membership. We don't have time to switch her bank account and establish history with them. Any leads or ideas are appreciated. Thanks. | |

Hi Biff, You can go to a "hard money" lender. The only thing some of them care about is the value of the property you are putting up. The interest is high but you get the money. If you don't pay, they take your house just like a bank would do. It's a requirement to have homeowners insurance to get any loan. They want their investment protected. | |
